Naked In The Tub

Folder:
Ken Squires

As I sit naked in the tub I glance down at myself.
Parts of me float
Most of me does not

I raise my hand letting water drip down onto me.
Watching the steam raise from my hands
Feeling like my soul is thriving as it dances outside of my skin

Glancing back down at myself
I don't have a six pack, I've always been fat.
At this time, I think I'm alright with that.

Too much emphases goes on outward looks
But it's fine, I've been judged all my life.
I already know, I've been judged by most of you.

The word fat makes you turn up your nose.
I'm so use to it, it doesn't even phase me.
As I continued to sit naked in the tub.
