Paint my love

Draw me a picture

with you and I in it.

Make me a puzzle,

where all the pieces fit.

Include all the colours in my rainbow,

let all rivers yield and overflow.

Let me stand on top of a mountain,

let us drink from the youthful fountain.

The sun should shine bright,

and I should have one star to remind me of your light.

Draw me a picture, before you leave,

Draw me a picture, with air I can breathe.

Let the sky be the darkest blue,

when I’m missing you.

Let the rivers run dry,

when I have no more tears to cry.

Let the sun lay low,

when the time comes for you to go.

Draw me a picture,

to express how I feel.

Draw me a picture where the world is unreal.

Draw me a picture,

where I can wish upon a star,

so I can be wherever you are.

Let the flowers grow in every season,

let love be the only reason…

Draw me a picture that I can frame and keep,

something that will edge my sorrows and tears I weep.

Not a paper but here in my heart,

where time cannot tear the pieces apart.

Where the paint won’t faint,

where no dust will grow,

and only I will know,

of the picture from my artist.

Baby, my artist,

who painted my love,

on the sky above.

Who sculptured my heart,

melted us together to never part.

Who sang me to life,

who yielded to make me his wife.

He who drew me a picture, he who owns my heart…

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is obviously about love love and more love...two people who are committed for life...
