We are all forks in the road.
Everyone has two sides, two trees,
Each tree is unique
Because of us these two trees connected
Look closely they are ultimately separated
we call these collection of misfits our two families.
Everyone connects to generations before us
Both stem off from us, going in two different directions
We are all forks in the road.
Each of us have two sides, two trees
Both sides are full of stories
The stories of people long gone
In the stories of loved ones where they briefly live again
Morbidly yet comfortably not too much time passed in all reality?
Life is a cruel game
in the blink of an eye I turned forty
I've personally gone through many stages
Many tragic experiences with a sprinkle of reasons to smile
I worry about my unique legacy
Depending on when you meet me
Someone older, someone newer
They'll remember me differently
I worry about how my son will remember me
no matter what every day brings
I'm forever grateful for every opportunity
the greatest opportunity this life gave me
I wake up every day excited for the present
My first thought each morning is bring on the day
nothing makes me happier than being Joshua's daddy
We are all forks in the road
Everyone has two sides, two trees
Watch me as I live out my unique story
