Say, I know just what you were thinking

Sometimes it gets so deep you feel like bleeding

With every day comes a brand new beating

And now I know everything that you were thinking



You let me go

Now I know

Why I'm gone

We both moved on

Here I stay

Gone away

Feelings change...

I wish forever they would stay



You and I never talk, it's amazing

We hardly write, never call

It's not even a thought at all

I just read a couple poems about the past, and

Now I am convinced that this life is so confusing

With every broken heart

Comes another chance to make it perfect again

Start anew, someone new with a new plan for attack

Once you start and move along, there's no going back

Not today

Not this way

I'm a shooting star, but those stars fade

You looked at me, I looked away

This is just how it is today

I know you're happy the way it is

I am happy you love him true

But to think about what you said makes you a liar...

What you are means you burn hotter than the fire...
