+ 27.225 MHz 315: Poem About My Faith, 2

I will not have my freedom to express my Faith

truncated, censored, edited, or sacrificed

because of fear to hurt some distant tin-plate's feelings---

that is some dictator hellbent on over-zealings---:

I will bear Orthodox witness to my Lord, Christ.

The ravings of dim ghosts, each one a plaintive wraith,

will never, ever, in this time or in this place,

silence my praise to Jesus for His Saving Grace;

nor seal my words in to a silent, oblong box.

I love the ancient Church that is called Orthodox.

And I shall bring, at every opportunity,

the praises that it has so long deserved from me

into these lines and rhymes that are my poetry.

For this privilege, I thank postpoems most gratefully.

A superbly composed and

A superbly composed and resolute declaration of your faith. I was very inspired by your determination to be unapologetic about your beliefs, to not allow anyone to infringe upon your fundamental right to worship as you choose (Isn't it odd how those who claim to cherish freedom are often the first ones to deride others for exercising theirs?) and to create such a dazzling, poetic altar for your Savior.

This is stunning:

"The ravings of dim ghosts, each one a plaintive wraith,

will never, ever, in this time or in this place,

silence my praise to Jesus for His Saving Grace;

nor seal my words in to a silent, oblong box.

I love the ancient Church that is called Orthodox."

Strength, devotion and eloquence: a breathtaking combination.

Thank you so much for those

Thank you so much for those kind words.  I have been experiencing a rough week, and your words are like a refreshing drink of cool water after a time of distress and undue exertion.  Thank you so much.
