Reconfigured: Metaphors Are Often Suggested By All Sorts Of Sights [Mature]

Her new blue stockings---
mostly sheer---have silver dots
across and around
the translucent sheerness. She
shows them off with her bare curves.



Shod obstacles have
failed here. I say her stockings
are a metaphor:
the reinforced toes become
nebulae, starmakers, and



the silver dots are
stars rising from those opaque
(but soft) nebulae.
My lips and tongue constellate
them (that is what poets do).



After her peak, a
sevenfold surge completes its
quite unimpeded
urge to streak wild comet tails
into the blue---her stockings'.
