Lust Disease

Lust is love for the hopeless,

A shallow little hole in the ground.

We wish them all a peaceful slumber,

We vow not to make another sound.

Is it all just about the release?

Faithfulness was never on my mind.

But learning of the actions unfolding,

The good in you, I know I'll never find.

Shaking, waiting, I'm biding my time,

But I will never know it's worth.

You can suffocate me in the ashes

Cuz none of this can get any worse.

The poetry to you is just a nursery,

Escaping your mindlessness and heart.

If you listen closely, there is irony,

But I really don't know where to start

I'm glad that I don't have to deal with you,

But that doesn't mean I'm okay.

I'm drowning my sorrows and agony,

I don't care if I see the next day.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Inspired by a friend of mine who got cheated on by the love of their life and now suffer from addictions. It's basically my message to the cheater .
