Place of No Return

The vastness of this open place.

All of a sudden,

I get an empty feeling.

No one else is here,

and I am all alone.

I try to yell,

but there is no sound.

There is no way to get lost,

and no way to be found.

I'm not sure how I got here,

and even less sure of where to go.

I see no ground or ceiling,

and this is sending my head spinning.

I am surely starting to lose my mind,

with the fact that nothing else is here.

I feel I am here,

but there is no way to tell if even I exist.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is another poem I had to write in English II. We had to write an "Imagery" poem. So Mike and I decided to do a place of emptiness.
