SPLATTER AND SPLASH

Butterflies and omelets,

Chocolates and fashion shows,

James Bond fools the folks again.

Jingoistic people given free rein.

Mostly occupied in fads,

Swimming nudes add to strain.

Idiots they all do seem,

They who got us our freedom,

These people deserved but pain.

My friend is happy as usual,

Says he is in love with a damsel,

I cannot help laughing at him,

While seeking some respite again.

A splatter and splash is this world,

Full of charlatans, hustlers and whores,

So I go to the tavern where the saqi

Is happy to serve me her wine once more.
