The Boy

Once I loved a boy

And for a time he loved me too.

He gave me many good days,

And happy memories.

Many smiles,

And lovely words.

He gave me a sense of hope

In a hopeless world.

But then one day,

He was gone.

It was like that,

That my source of love,

Happiness,

And light

             Vanished.

I did everything I could,

To forget him.

Got hooked on poisons,

And flavours of many kinds.

I pleaded with my conscious to forget the splendors of love that he brought me.

Till one day,

I snapped.

I went mad,

Over forgetting the boy who had forgotten me years ago.

I lost my self in a beautiful collapse of my own mind.

I forgot what my goal was,

Forgot what I was wanting to do.

Forgot where I was going,

Lost sight of night,

Of day,

Of happiness,

Of pain,

Of love,

Of lust;

Forgot what I was wanting to forget.

Forgot that I had once loved a boy, and that for a time

                    He loved me too.
