Watching Hubby Walk the Dog from the Window

Folder:
Humor

Up the street from the front window
Connected by marriage and a leash
Together they sunder along

One Can not tell one butt wiggle from the other
One mooches along with his tail up and nose down
The other with his tail down and nose up

One is enraptured by the neighbors bush
The other enraptured by the blond jogging by
That is Until one can not stand the others waiting
And pulls the other away from the standing stare on the corner

One uses the feel of the drag,
The other a tug to command; Like A pair of symbionts,
They are not connected to each others thoughts
Whereon the tug serves to regain some semblance of purpose

To start walking with dignity back to the house
Where one ends the morning walk with a sniff and a treat
And, the other asks if his coffee is ready yet
Then scratches while tugging on his designer walking shorts

While I stand by the window trying to figure out,
which one needs the leash...

This is priceless. We all know that couple. A perfectly worded bit of light-hearted observation to bring a smile to my face. Thank you!
