Momma, It's Hurting.~(family)

Momma, you leave me with your kids,

to go to the bars and drink,

you come home late at night,

furious and ready to fight,

you snap on me, because im the problem,

so you say. You say i was a mistake,

I know you were drunk, but momma it still hurts me,

to hear someone i love, say those words,

and curse and curse. I dont know how to tell you,

it's hurting me so much.

I know you dont mean half the things you say,

but you still say them, and it stays captured in my brain.

I know you dont mean half the things you do,

but you still do them, and the bruises hurt too.

Please momma, love me, and hold me, like when i was a child,

sing me bed time songs,

although it wont make everything better.

you NEED to stop momma, it hurts me alot, seeing you like this,

i cannot help you stop. i just have a few words, in this poem i have written, you hurt me much more, then anybody ever has,

we are flesh and blood, dont forget.

i love you to death, but please stop this nonsense,

because one day, you might wake up and i will be gone.

learn to love me again, thats all i ask.

learn to give yourself just one more chance.

Author's Notes/Comments:

i wrote this poem, because i felt i had to, to let things out, because it hurts, i know there are many teens, like me, like you, i know how you feel. your not alone.
