Dead end road?

Folder:
Ashes & Embers.

How close can you get
to something you cannot touch?
How long will you hold on
to something out of reach?
How much can you feel
from something so far away?
How much will you give
from that which you do not have?
How much further can we go
before crashing into a dead end?

Is the air you breathe

Is the air you breathe saturated with need?
Is sacrifice too great for convenience sake?
Will time live on forever?
Or is our will just weak to bend with changes?
Are our breaths not the same?
Is love not infinite in its wages?
Can souls be limited to just sensations?
Is love really worth all sins and transgressions?

If saviors and heroes never asked these questions
Then I guess being human is condemned
But I believe in the face of these
Comes the power to overcome the fears

sorry...that just came out. I've hit many dead end roads...and I've come to realize they were just arrows and detours leading me to the path that fate has designed for me..regardless of its difficulty. Peace be with you Astral!

I loved this...I love raw emotion by the way and this definitely touched that :)

I have a limited mind this evening, but when its ripe and braodened once again, I will be looking into your world, as it deserves a proper eye.
Thank you for being so supportive of me, it encourages me to peel back the layers covering my inner self with warm blessing from people like you.

Good poem!

I was once told there are no dead ends, we just run out of resources for either following the road or making a new one. ;-)

Is it worth it?

There are never dead ends in life. Have you ever noticed that they are always in the shape of a circle? If you ever find yourself there all you have to do is follow the curve. It leads you back to where you started, but you are given that chance, and this lesson to start over, or continue. Regardless, there are never dead ends only new beginnings. When you find yourself looking in the direction from whence you came you will find that things look different....they have different shades. Its not how much, or for how long...your not asking the right questions.

"Is it worth it?" should have

"Is it worth it?" should have been the destination here. Keen eye you have ashes.
And I enjoy your resolve of this breakdown of whims indeed.
Dead ends are certainly a matter of perspective as you optimistically pointed out.
Loved crunching this response, thank you very much : )

Questions deserve answers...

Closer than imaginable, to the right something.

Or perhaps a couple?
I love questions.
They reel.
Stand alone awaiting something to move them.
Enrich them.
Move them from inanamentcy.

But the answers I also find often inadequate.

Q&A Poetry

Illusive anythings beyond reach are fascinating because they make life filled with possiilities of obtainable everythings - so my 60 plus years tell me - life is linear - a garden to walk through and chose the fruit of choice, spit out the pits and keep on stepping - A
