A New View


I keep remembering the little Guatemalan baby girl who died of thirst and neglect in ICE custody. The pain she must have felt too afraid to ask for water.  Fevered, sere mouth caked with death coming. No one loving her, the worst thirst of a small life. This is the racist world Trump returned to us and when we get tired of weeping, maybe, just maybe, someone else will put an end to baby girls dying for want of water.
