A Downer Dow Jones Day

NRA owns Trump, so forget about any action on anything that will limit gun and amuniton sales. Period. We could all be shot by someone who did not have a background check because Mitch McConnel will not budge and put it to a vote in the Senate. Hence, Trump is not worried, NRA is not worried. The 2nd Ammendment is laughing and the streets and public and private venues for entertainment and commerce, school and leisure activities are not safe.

.

The Center For Disease Control put out numbers and tens of thousands of usa citizens are dying from gunshots annually, but it is not a national priority to stop those kinds of deaths from murder and suicide. Anyone at any time can walk in to your church or shopping spaces and shoot you. I have never been shot, but I have heard from patients that it is excrutiatingly painful. Because the Republic is in the hands of an oligarchy doing business with other nations (Trump at G7 pushed for readmitting Russia to the annual "Gee" meetings and to host the G8 in usa at one of his resorts) that are business conglomerates and tax receptor entities, there is no thought given to the quality of life of those who vote them into office.

.

Now, I just heard that the time limit for holding immigrants at the border has been lifted. Spanish speaking humans seeking asylum or refugee -immigrant status can be held indefinitely and Trump and his minions are still separating children from their care givers and parents. He just altered the "policy" so he can be inside the law and not corrected. I wish I could do that. I would never have paid taxes or any traffic tickets. Ever.

.

Nancy Pelosi, it would be nice to hear your strategy - this waiting is killing the economy.  Strong endorsements from economic advisors say no recession - which is the strongest indication that they are attempting to bolster confidence in the stock market, especially vulnerable bonds. On the positive front, Chrysler is rebuilding a multi-billion dollar assembly faciity inside Detroit, Michigan's borders (not in the suburbs/metro detroit area). I heard this, I have not read up on it yet, but Jefferson Avenue and St. Jeans is going to be the place to open a restaurant or fast food facility, Jack and Jane!4500 employees are expected to be hired.

.

Off to try not to think that as I type some kid somewhere is in jail, or starving, or being abused. I shall try not to think that someone has purchased a gun (off the grid) and there will be a dead african american before sunset tonight. I will not think that $15.00 per hour in most of the states may lead to all of the states if padding his own pockets Mitch McConnell allows it out of the Senate for a vote. I shall also not try to think about the significant price rise in all the marketplaces because of tariffs and that new minimum wage of $15.00 per hour making things more expensive.

.

If workers have more money, prices rise (when actually, according to supply side whatchamacallit, increased demand is supposed to drive prices down). More demand, lower costs on goods and services. Ha! Have you seen your electic bill lately? Your natural gas bill? Pecans are now costing $2.00 more per package since last Christmas. I shall give up eating for Labor Day. My blood sugar levels will plummet and my doctor will be pushing for me to eat more, which won't be possible. A good thing.

.

Love to all. You are currently living in intersting times.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Per The Detroit News: "The Mack expansion (in Detroit, MI) is part of a $4.5 billion investment into five of the automaker's Michigan plants. It includes a $900 million investment into Jefferson North. The Michigan Strategic Fund granted FCA an incentive package totaling $223 million to offset the cost of the Mack expansion and modernize efforts at Jefferson North. And the state provided the city of Detroit another $93 million to offset costs associated with site preparation."
