as assemblies of dark clouds
greet cold winds coming

basking in moonlight

summer remembers autumn
snowflakes dread the thaw

alive on new rained sidewalks
then the sun rises.

sees a blade of grass grow
out of time and space

espies the rabbit’s pale paw
restrained by a leash
