1968 was called the long hot summer.

Flames added to late seasonal heat

and tempers were a bit on the edge.

No jobs, no money - same old

story. No power, no homes,

no respect.


Since, college and learning to read much

more, we broke down barriers and separations.

We matured in true capitalist fashion

and now like it was done to us, we hold

down other groups, We protest our

perception of anything being taken away

to maintain our illusion of the power,

and wealth, and the hard won status we

have to protect.
