Vintage Words

Loquacious is a state of mind, a way

to experience light. What is a poet

without lots of words? A writer commands

a plethora of words the way a thesaurus

or unabridged dictionary equals a

system of letters written or spoken

Telling a wordsmith to limit the flow

of words would cause all kinds of stress

because without the ability to speak

swiftly and fully, bodaciously and

outrageously, what would a word obsessed

poet do? Writers take routes to meaning

using every word imaginable.

Loquacious has no opposite for a

writer or creator of words as art. No

word is ever overly unnecessary. One

might say with veracity that we

are a wordy lot.
