Poets Perseverence

.

I actually feel that it may be more

a temporary desire than an actual intent

of throwing the computer through the window.

Writer's block is not a real problem. I

keep chipping away and eventually  from

the chunk of marble comes a poem like Venus

out of whatever it was Venus was born from.

The right tools are required for a writer to

survive the minutiae.

.

I keep dropping my pen. Arthritis is

creeping across the joints and, I reach

out, I aim, I miss a few times, then

thinking I have a good hold, it just slips

away. Like a good idea too far away from

being written down. Practice with hammer

and chisel might strengthen the fingers

and help me keep a grip. Hold on,

the poem or chapter is coming.
