The Day Cries

Vintage Words

Too much sorrow can lead to desperation.

The search for mirth or joy finds heroes of

hopelessness as a champion and pathos as

an ally.

Tears are useless in the event of horror

or the certainty of death. As if falling

from a ledge and plummeting into a rushing

river unable to swim. Who would see your

tears as a truck leaps the curb and carries

you away like cargo?

What comes after depends on what came

before, they tell me. Sacrilege is a

sin, like denying the existence of

the Holy Ghost is unforgivable.
