Viking Rabbits

Rabbits scurry from the lettuce patch,
Stealing clumps of green betwixt their lips,
Looting gardens missing gate and latch,
Careful that they give the dogs a slip.

Vicious scoundrels, twisted thieves; but shy.
Never would they spare a patch of green.
Not an insect darts their watchful eye.
Of vegetables, their sense is always keen.
