This poem is about myself and my travails and tribulations as well as about the wonderful lovely woman who loves me truly. Her mystery continues...for a rose called by any name smells just as sweet...and to me she is sweeter than the sweetest rose...believe it or not!
The names of Katherine and Heathcliff, Angel Clare and Tess, Jude, Troilus and Cressida, Paris and Helen and Desdemona are heroes and heroines of classic English novels and plays as well as historically oriented epic poems. DAPHNE OF ANCIENTA is in fact my schoolmate and first love Daphne John. ANCIENTA is the place where we used to meet, talk, laugh, play and share our good times, together and totally oblivious of the world around us....writing poetry about each other and walking arm in arm down the beach stretches of our ANCIENTA.
