This year's Islamic fasting month of Ramadan (Ramzan) enriched me with a series of spiritual experiences and the one related in this poem is one of those -- All praise to God Almighty Allah. Like I have said before I will say it again: The More I see of men and women the more do I love God and the world of spiritual splendor, peace, love abounding with harmonious ecstasy.
Houris are mentioned in several religious scriptures of the world and even in The Glorious and Holy Qur'an. They are pure and chaste maidens of exceptional beauty and meant to be companions of Godly men -- as related in the holy scriptures.

*SAMSON; THE BIBLICAL HERO WHO WAS BLESSED BY GOD ALMIGHTY WITH IMMENSE STRENGTH AND POWER AND WHO DESTROYED THE FALSE IDOL "DAGON" OF THE PHILISTINES. (READ MORE IN THE BOOK OF JUDGES, THE HOLY BIBLE).

*ALI: THE COUSIN AND SON-IN-LAW OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM). HE WAS AS VALIANT AS SAMSON AND FEARED BY ALL HIS ENEMIES.

* SHIMR: THE DASTARDLY COWARD MAN WHO CUT THE THROAT OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD'S (PBUH) WHILE HE WAS PROSTRATING IN PRAYER ON THE 10TH ISLAMIC MONTH OF MUHARRAM. THE SITUATION IS FAMOUSLY KNOWN AS THE BATTLE OF KARBALA WHEREIN 72 FAITHFUL AND RIGHTEOUS FOLLOWERS AND SUPPORTERS OF HUSSAIN, THE SON OF ALI, SACRIFICED EVERYTHING BUT DID NOT SUCCUMB TO THE POWERS OF EVIL AND FALSEHOOD.

*GOLIATH AND DAVID: BIBLICAL CHARACTERS. DAVID (PBUH) GREW UP TO BE A PROPHET OF GOD ALMIGHTY. HE IS FAMOUS IN THE HOLY BIBLE AND THE GLORIOUS QUR'AN FOR KILLING THE GIANT GOLIATH WITH A SLING SHOT. DAVID (PBUH) WAS ONLY 12 YEARS OLD WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
