Move Me

This world's crashing down

With gunfire ringing out

Protests fanning out into the streets

And, here I am resting in comfort and peace

There are childless families

Praying on their knees

While children grow innocently

But, never get the chance to breathe

Sometimes I've got to scream out

"My God, My God, move me!

My Lord, My Strength, use me

As an instrument of Your Spirit's perfect way!

Don't let a chance pass me

Without Your Grace covering my shame!

And, forgive me my sins

In Your Son's Holy name!"

There are stranger's who have nothing

Holding signs out on my street

Don't let me pass them

Without giving myself beyond my means

I've got to ask myself

What have I gained if I've not given love

Why am I so afraid to use my tongue

To spread the love You've given to me

Lord, help me see

Lord, shine Your Light

And, let it radiate out of me

And, hear me as I scream

My God, My God, move me!

My Lord, My Strength, use me

As an instrument of Your Spirit's perfect way!

And, don't let me miss a chance

To ease another persons pain!

And, forgive me my sins

In Your Son's Holy name!
