It will roll in when you least expect it to

The wind will change

And, new weather will blow in

And, when it does

She’ll be the most beautiful sunrise this world’s ever known

I’ve got faith even as the temperature’s dropping

And, though thin ice ain’t made for treading

I know one thing

I won’t be tethering myself to shore’s safety this time

And, I will inch out nervously

To where only the most daring stand

And, I will reach out confidently

With loving hands

And, listen fervently to wisdom’s enduring truths and homilies

And, I will inch out nervously

To the edge of faith’s steepest cliff

Close my eyes and jump as if

Running into the arms of true love

I’ve got faith even as the temperature’s dropping

And, though thin ice ain’t made for treading

I know one thing

I won’t be tethering myself to shore’s safety this time

Yes, I will inch out nervously

And, let the cold water slowly

Be overtaken by the warmth of my soul's confidence in knowing

What true love is
