Move over Hiawatha - a new american epic. Like the synopsis of an Amercan History Text Book, this creative picture of the US of A is totally positive and intended to uplift. As a Black American I doubt that i will ever see it quite that way. Visitors are given the royal tour, the reality is a bit more sullied, heartbreaking, soul wrencing. Glad a black man sees the country historically and celebrates the states. I am immersed in the troubles of the world (Earth in trouble from global warming) & it is difficult to celbrate U.S. History's high points without thinking of how its wealth and history has polluted the world, killed the spirit of its people, and attempted to enslave all other countries with a doctrine that it does not practice itself. Nice

tribute, just a bit unreal for me. - Stella l. Crews (Michigan's Flower Bearer)

Dear Ugonna

I am in awe of the way in which you relate to nations of this world and in a very personalized, yet endopathic approach to the contemporary world, but also to its past and future, especially America ... This world suffers a lost dream, which can only be found back in Peace and in Harmony and Love; Faith and Hope.

For me your work enhances all of these pathways to Happiness.

Be Blessed, Poet, and walk in the Light.

Greetings from South Africa.

My dear friend from across the seas.

Like the eagle, you have soared into our minds' eye & given us a whole new perspective on our American neighbours. The United States, is definitely a myriad of universes, each one unique unto itself, exciting to behold, to explore & to understand.

Reading the history of your revered uncle & the people he encountered on his way inside this mezmorizing country, brings feelings of pride, newborn childhood wonder & a journey into its extraordinary past. What an honour to know such men who changed the course of American life.

And the greatest honour, is given to the symbol of the eagle - one which stands for courage, strength & fortitude.

"It is said the eagle was used as a national emblem because, at one of the first battles of the Revolution (which occurred early in the morning) the noise of the struggle awoke the sleeping eagles on the heights and they flew from their nests and circled about over the heads of the fighting men, all the while giving vent to their raucous cries. "They are shrieking for Freedom," said the patriots.
Thus the eagle, full of the boundless spirit of freedom, living above the valleys, strong and powerful in his might, has become the national emblem of a country that offers freedom in word and thought and an opportunity for a full and free expansion into the boundless space of the future.--Maude M. Grant"

Thank you for sharing & congratulations on this amazing tribute to the American Galaxy .

Dear Ugonna:

I have just finished reading, so far,
your creative work: "American Galaxy".

Your enthusiasm on the topic - as well
as your knowledge of our history is just
grand!! ...and very unusual for someone
who is not from America!:

Nonetheless, you are
very much admired.

This book needs to be read
by all Americans...Surely,
your enthusiasm could
become contagious!

God bless your goodness!!

Dear Ugonna:

This is a work of epic proportions. Its power and
grace resonates with classical splendor. The
language, like the history and freedom of the
United States is lofty and filled with an intense
respect and enthusiasm that has been part of this
nation's spirit and the motivational faith of its
founders.

You incorporate the natural resources of the land,
the people's imagination, and the heartbeat of the
country's states and its state of mind. The drama
is written with empathy, compassion and such an
in-depth understanding of humanity's search for
justice and freedom.

I admire the way you blend the heroic speeches of
this nation's leaders with the foresight of your
own heart. The voice of the eagles is inspirational
and so perfect for the composition of this
manuscript. I am proud to have read this long
and splendid work. I look forward to its
continuation...

This is one that should be read by Americans here
at home as well as our countrymen and women around
the world. It speaks out with a clear and sincere
voice. Below are some of my favourite lines...
they are special and blessed with the dignity
of a fine and gifted poet:

"We all as human beings are God's children,
and must help cherish and live out loving
one another with that image He created us
in. May all Americans with mankind ever
come to appreciate, do and walk the talk
of this sense of celebrative love and
sharing which strikingly pervades this
American Galaxy..."

It has been a pleasure to read, and a gift of words
and thoughts I will contemplate for a long time
afterwards...

Please, take care,

Wendy
