Lamaload

Lamaload

They say you can hear it,
When the wind drops,
And if you’re very still,
The lost village,
And evensong,
Sung beneath the water.
But all I heard were curlews,
The wing beatings of grouse and snipe,
All voices drown
Beneath the wide sky.
