I Found Your Words Today...

Folder:
Love's Sorrow

I found your words today...

amidst secret gardens of lush flowers

and beautiful landscapes

framing prose so lyrical,

melodic sentiment dripping freely

to quench each thirsty rose,

coaxing full bloom into glorious splendor,

bathed by the warming glow

and love drenched inspiration

of your gifted pen.

I found your words today...

imagery that still leaves me breathless

after all this time.

Breathless romance overflowing in each piece.

Dreams inspired that lift the spirit...

so high,

feelings so precious

leaving fingers trembling

and sighs quiver from parted lips,

as hungry eyes devour each word.

I found your words today...

words so familiar to my heart,

burned into my soul,

forever a part of me.

Such beauty of thought,

So heartfelt in depth of emotion.

Profound depictions of love eternal

and bliss everlasting,

visions invoked of forever lovers

destined to never part.

I found your words today...

The rosy clouds clear suddenly

as brutal clarity falls swift

and a relentless storm rages,

mercilessly ravaging my being,

restoring sight to love blinded eyes,

ripping away my last illusions,

and as a fist of pain clenches in my chest,

I wonder...

Did you tell her they were written for her?
