Broken Hallelujah

Folder:
Divine Revelation

Though I feel alone,

like your touch is distant,

your voice cold,

I will praise you

even here.

When disease

and tragedy

rule over my life,

I will praise you

even here.

Though the waves

are beating against me

and storms fill the skies,

I will praise you

even here.

When pain comes

and heartbreak

rocks my core,

I will praise you

even here.

My lips will murmur

“Hallelujah”

through broken gasps.

With steepled hands

and bended knees,

I will praise you

even here.

Rewrite 2012

Though I feel alone,
like your touch is distant,
your voice cold,
I will praise you
even here.

When disease
and tragedy
rule over my life,
I will praise you
even here.

Though the waves
are beating against me
and storms fill the skies,
I will praise you
even here.

When pain comes
and heartbreak
rocks my core,
I will praise you
even here.

My lips will murmur
“Hallelujah”
through broken gasps.
With steepled hands
and bended knees,
I will praise you
even here.

We can't blame God for all the cruel and horrible things that wicked humans decide to do. We can't blame God for Adam and Eve throwing away a perfect and healthy life to be ruled by their selfish cravings rather than by God our King.
Do we blame the human Presidents and kings for the bad things that people in their country do? No, we don't, so why do we blame God for the things people do?

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God's law to not eat of one of the trees in the Garden they thus lost God's favor, when they lost his favor, they lost his support for perfect health, and thus began to die. This imperfection brings upon us humans sickness and death, and the greed of Adam and Eve was born into us as they had no children until after their selfish act.

Why does God not do anything to stop the wickedness that is happening now? Well, did you ever think about the fact that he wants to give us all -even the wicked- time to decide what we want to do with our lives? If we decide to serve God the correct way then we will have life on paradise and if we don't want to serve him correctly then we will be among the wicked -even if we do good- who will die for lack of desire to serve God properly.

We have to endure until the time God says 'the time is up'
and he will wipe away sickness and death and war will be no more in those days.
