You Say You Know Me

You say you know me; well you must be wrong,

Time passed by swiftly; I’ve been gone so very long.

I’ve been many places; strange things I have seen,

Talked to many people, said some things I didn’t mean.

Ancient times forever flown, and tomorrow comes so soon,

Sunrises of fire scatter the flames, eerie shadows releasing the moon.

Raging currents, the waters wrath a terror amid the ocean,

Spawning savage whirlwinds long since set in motion.

You say you know me? Must be mistaken identity,

Long past, short future, souls long to be free.

You don’t really know me, even I do not know,

Only a weakened shell never knowing which way to go.
