Spenserian Sonnet

Far surpassing the beauty of the sea,
More soothing than the rhythm of its sighs,
Depths deeper than those of any that be,
What secrets lie in your alluring eyes.
What power there in your deep bass voice lies,
Like great, rolling thunder on a calm night
That it seems to control the very skies
While no other tone could achieve that right.
To be in your presence, heart and mind fight
For your engaging wit denotes such fire
As can only excite and mould things bright,
An intelligence of which I can't tire.
Love, it is you that my heart draws me to
and now, there could be no me without you.
