The Love Story of The Gypsy

The Love Story of The Gypsy

=============

Is there a bone in me

Left to be bent?

No need to think

I give you a hint:

The structure is agile

And indeed fragile

The mind is sharp

Yet so blind

The heart is full

no vacancy

For new arrivals

------------

I wish anywhere

There would be somewhere

To accommodate me

Give me a side

To close my eyes

And hide.

______

I have seen

Despair,

Welfare,

Sadness,

happiness

Walking

Hand in hand on the street.

There

Where

A thought may

Kiss an anti-thought

When they meet.

_______

Behold life dancing

Bare footed

At your feet

Wild

nude!

A pity

Is that

Or a sort of beauty?

Or simply

The Naked Reality

____

To where next

You may run

gypsy?

home?

Or to seek an ecstasy?

Author's Notes/Comments:

T. S. Eliot in the 1st decade of the 20th century wrote the ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock'

And here I am in the 2nd decade of the 21st century trying to write ‘the love song of the gypsy’.

Such weird songs will never be appreciated if read from the stereotype mentality viewpoint.
