Chance Of Rain

Rolling through the sky,

making small infants fearful and cry,

black clouds darken the hills,

hungry for the kill.

Thunder crashes near your homes,

lightning flashes and chills your bones.

The wind howls and cries,

it says, "Tonight Someone Dies!"

A spiral cloud appears,

it promises life to disappear.

The tornado forms into pain,

as the sky brings down rain.

Death hovers above the town,

licking his greedy lips and looking down.

Tonight he fills his ultimate goal,

to take away your life and soul.

Quickly houses explode,

as time appears to be slowed.

You get caught in the violent wind,

and you are torn to shreds as you twist and spin.

Slowly the clouds dissipate,

but behind they leave you in heart ache.

Your life and family have been blown away,

and only your grief is here to stay.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I have always had this fear of Tornado's, though they are rare where I live. It's just one of those things that you fear in life, and it scares the hell out of me to see spiral clouds: I always think a tornado is coming. Otherwise, I care little for the weather, though I often lay out in the rain.
