A Hollow Death

The feeling of the unknown presence
Of someone lingers around.
Afraid of what they might do
Penetrates my mind.
They grab me from behind,
Throwing me to the ground.
I try to struggle,
But they got me pinned.
I feel fingers wrap around my neck.
Squeezing tightly.
I panic,
My heart races.
The air being cut off
Burns my lungs.
I cannot plead.
The shadow figure's face
I cannot see.
My vision begins to blur.
I have started to weaken,
I can't keep this struggle.
My eye lids flutter.
They grasp tighter to insure a positive death.
At the last few seconds of my life.
I see a glimpse of the mysterious killer.
And seeing this,
I have died a hollow death.
For the killer was you my love.
I've seen you face.
The last face I'll ever see.
I have died
A hollow death.
