LONGING FOR MY BELOVED ON A ROMANTIC DAY OF JUNE 2010
Monsoon clouds hover
On this second day of June
It is a day quite unlike
Yesterday.
Hot and suffocating it was
Even though I tried
To keep cool with thoughts
About my lady love.
As the evening digressed
I started missing
The loving arms
The warmth filled smiles
And the sweet wit
Of the jocund and jovial soul
Who has my heart with her.
I do not know how the hours passed
And how evening and night
Changed into the dark cloudy day
Of today.
It is one of those lovely days
When I really miss the closeness
Of my lady love
As my being needs her so much
To be by my side.
To have her cuddled in my arms
Exchanging sweet expressions of love
Expressions that would have made
This dark and romantic cloudy day
Lovelier and more memorable.
She has my heart, mind and soul
As I too have hers in return.
How wonderfully grand it would have been
If our bodies too would have been as close
Just like our heart, mind and soul are.
It would have rained and the unexpected
Turn of events of this summer season
Would have made our moments
Me and my lady love's proximity
A day worth remembering
For the rest of our lives...
God does listen to our prayers
And perhaps He will grant me my wish
Of bringing me and my beloved together
Totally, to belong to each other totally.
It is possible indeed
Because, if a hot and stuffy June day
Can become a breezy, cool and cloudy one
In twenty four hours
Why can't two loving human hearts, minds and souls
Also unite and revel
And even mock at the romance of this second day
Of a summer June
In one of the hottest places on planet Earth?
Love can work miracles
And faith in God can make it all work
Exceedingly fast...
So let me see when my moments of joy
Gather like the dark romantic clouds above
And hover over my days of a June summer.
