I AM NAUGHT WITHOUT HER

I am naught

Without my beloved

Won't she ever understand?

Can a tree

Or a shrub survive

Without life-giving water drops?

My Lily

Aye, my Lush Lily

Is denying me her 'love' and 'care'

On this still, dark, moonless night.

yer lush lily
quite the dumb filly
to deny such masculine
grace
even a chance to let yon
eyes trace
the outline of her brow
so silky
there are special rooms in
the confines of purgatory
for women who stoop
in such a manner so to torture
the men who love them
just a little more
from your poetic bindings
you must rise
and don the robes of strength
always conceiving that
your words remain your champion
and not the mere mat that lays
at the foot of a door...........
you know who!..........so why type it?
just two words Sir Poet.....
LUCKY LILY!
make that three words
DAMN LUCKY LILY!
(smiles cordially)
