- What I want you to know about me...
I have written poetry since I was 8 years old. I'm currently 22. It gives me release. It gives me peace. I sometimes write short stories as well. Some of my work has won contests and whatnot. Lately, however, I have been experiencing an inspirational drought. :( I haven't written anything nearly as good as the stuff I wrote when I was going through a horrible break up. I don't know if I have the gift anymore!

My favorite poet, hands down, has to be e.e. cummings. His poetry has inspired me not to care as much about whether or not my writing makes literal sense. Poetry doesn't have to be logical, it's a feeling.
