along my day-to-day meanderings
I find myself attentively yearning to delve deeper
into you
Does this probing curiosity enter the minds of others
nearly as much as mine?
Why do these socio-emotional barriers clutter our truest frequencies?
Can't I simply plunge in to a temperament without fear, with violent honesty?
No...because of reality and context, I suppose
For enduring the long game requires the art of resolve
with spoken-for hearts and fragile minds
patience can offer sweetness tomorrow
yet taste so sour on today's time
despite cultivating fervent love in kind
we continue on this uncertain, silent pantomime
But I simply cannot deny our electricity
a generator when most seek an outlet
to energize the sublime
and commit crimes against bland identity
in efforts to celebrate life's wild revelry
where every sound is felt
and every scent seen
*inhale*
ahhhh
the air of passion
can fill this room tonight
if I can destroy
the various barriers of logic in time
