The older I get the more I find

people don't know shit,

The guy who works at the convenient store

He doesn't know shit,

The eightteen year old who thinks he's an adult

He's too young to know shit,

The politician on my T.V.

He definitely knows jack shit,

But it seems that as the older I get

the more I compare to my younger self,

I think back on me a few years ago and say

yeah back then I didn't know shit,

A few years from now when I read this

study it and find that yep,

I really didn't know shit then either,

If I ever do know shit I doubt

that I'll ever have the foresight to know

I found it

So for know I'll stay clueless

and kept pretending that I do, in fact,

know some shit
