Party at Poseidons

I came to this soiree

dripping with confidence,
I could feel the room tounging it's teeth,
The walls melt with unbridled attention,
I captivate like a drug fiend's dream,

They throw themselves around the room
these ships on troubled waters,
Shark infested waltzers
Swim eagerly around the scene,
You can bet that
No one wants to go home alone
Most of all, me

Tip up your glasses
we're taking on a sink,
Fathoms below
this sea of clean conscience
we're soilent people down here
until the sun rears it's sober head
to blast clean the blinds,
but not in time to reveal
that we are all just horrible,

A moment of silence to remain
embarrassed so

we stay still

and inquire as to taxi cabs
