The Lion and the Eagle

by Andres Tello, Daniela Novelo and Carlos Cuesy

Another day has begun on Earth. All of the lakes, rivers and oceans had dried up; all grass, trees and plants were gone. All of the animals have disappear except for the lion who was the king of the animals and the eagle the king of the skies, both living in this world looking for revenge against the ones who had taken all from the earth, the humans beings. The kings started walking looking for their species or any kind of animal. They kept and kept walking without losing the hope, but they couldn’t find anything. No water, no refugee, not even a little green plant, in a single word no life signal. The kings were anxious they have to find the humans to make them paid and suffer for all the things that they had done to his precious Earth, but before that they had to speak to Gods to convince them that the real responsible of these catastrophe were the humans. The Kings continue walking until they both decided to call the Gods to let them know about what was happening, so the lion start to roar and the eagle start crying to the sky to let the Gods know about their disappointment. The two sad animals talk to the Gods about the idea that they had of letting the humans know how it was to live without food at all, so they would regret about killing all those animals just because they wanted. The Kings were shock about this idea but actually they were also mad with the human race because of the destruction that they cause to the entire planet. So the Gods made a pact with the two kings and little by little all the aliments that could be eaten by the people began to disappear. The humans didn´t understand what was happening until the worst and the sadness thing happen in their desperation, the humans started to eat each other and they became cannibals. There was a group of people who refuses to eat each other and as the Lion and the Eagle did they walk in search of a place where they could rest in peace and escape of those bad humans. The Lion and the Eagle realize that not all the humanity was bad and evil and they choose to help these persons to run away from the cannibals. When the Gods saw this they ask the two kings what were they doing and the kings respond that they were regretted about their decision. The Gods realizes that the two species would be able to live together again so they could start rebuilding the planet while the cannibals extinct, it was like starting a new era. The humans didn’t eat meat either the animals, so they learned to survive with plants or natural things that the Gods provide to their new Earth.
