Teachers' Torment

Teachers have a hard time nowadays,

I would not want to be a teacher now,

For in the past folks followed different ways,

It was permitted to deal skunks a blow.

“It’s not politically correct" - they say

To chastise and correct the vicious  brats,

And so conniving brats do get their way

And teachers serve as butt of  taunting cads.

Students, flipped up antics mean and coarse,

Made minced meat of a teacher, and some cad

Poked fun at him with sneers  without remorse,

Such is a hapless teacher’s lot of late.

They step on Christmas ornaments with boots,

Destroying them with wicked jeers and glee,

In league they are, conspiring  in  cahoots

And taunt and  snigger with impunity.

With cameras hid the louts tape secretly,

Embarrassing unfortunate some scene,

Securing it on tape maliciously

So on the Internet it can be seen.

The subjects that the rascals learn in school,

Some pundits stoop so low as to applaud,

Apologists for taunts and ridicule,-

No wonder hapless teachers are distraught.

Of taunts and mockery there is no end,

For our nation a disgrace and shame,

And none stands up the teacher to defend,

The educator parents are to blame!

Its nice to teach and to communicate,

and to share knowledge with some dull preteen,

As long you can stand above the brat,

And minister, -when called for- discipline!.
