A System Called Trickle Down Economics

The vagaries of the flow,

a system to the bare,

twenty-six years* at a high

and to that nothing's changed.

Slow is the pace.

So many feelings unchanged.

Yet the kings aloft now worry

to keep their riches in vaults.

'Lend us hand to stay our place.'

Down the chain,

over-stressed outside their comfort

the middlemen cannot sleep.

The bone supply is gone

thrown by the kings.

The problems continue to pile.

And the lowest of the low,

voiceless and compressed,

have chances much lowered

to be elevated from poverty.

'Trickle down economics,'

that's the way it's often been

as everybody suffers

from a flawed, monetary

corroding status-quo.

Author's Notes/Comments:

*Unemployement claims at a high for twenty-six years.  My heart goes to everyone in these down times.
