In Holland I drank full bottles of vodka, martini, wines, whisky etc.
I was a drunk and homeless in the US early in the millenium. I drank the brand Cobra in Brooklyn NY. I went bars in New York and had my nails done. I channeled the RnB singer Aaliyah and Left Eye, Tuapc and Biggie and reflected a lot on immortality. I gave a sermon at the Mormon church and was shocked years later when there was a Mormon running for US President.
I lived in manhattan and though of Prince, Robbie Williams, and Calvin Klien. If I had enough money I would have bought a tie for Prince, he was alive then, now he's alive in spirit at least to me.
I drank and drank myself into oblivian. I felt the power and more power.
In recovery I had to throw up my history, sharing what was not right that I deserved a seat at the treatment rooms. An Alchoholic resides in me and I am following a program of recovery. I am a recovering Alchoholic and have been sober for 7 year and 9 month.
I am feeling the rea hopel of recovery, I am teaching in Somaliland/Somalia now and contributing to society. It's an African studies University in this oasis, my student are adults and I share my life experiences sometimes so they get stronger. I teach English. And I love it.
