Stained Glass Sedation

These ghosts that haunt me are still alive

Still cold to the touch and still drain my life

These tombstones mark where I should have lived

Too trapped in myself so to myself another glass I give

Drink the medicine

Make this world feel worth surviving in

Do not let the villain of reality win

Hide the mind in a fog that seems kind

Forget reality because reality is not for me

Who needs regret when you can just forget?

Keep floating through because it’s the best you can do

Seeing through cobwebs when I want to see through stained glass

Seek to feel divine so pour some more wine

I stop the fall and avoid most of it all

With enough the surreal will be soon revealed

Take it in

Sedate the within

I won’t let the demon called reality win

Hide the mind in a fog that seems kind

Forget reality because reality is not for me

Who needs regret when you can just forget?

Keep floating through because it’s the best you will do

Cobwebs will always invade my stained glass for sure

I drink my medicine, but you are my only true cure
