(8) Nothing Without You

The battleground, has left nothing, surprising to find I'm still intact

I've seen, the destruction of wars, the damage as the rubble lay out in the open

But this destruction, is deep scars to the soul, hard to replace or repair

But I will be, reaching out to you, the brightest cloud up above the clouds of ash

Reaching out to you, nothing good can come from, fighting battles alone

Surely, it is a lesson, that we all let slip away

Fighting on my own, is the same, as accepting the exact same defeat

As the last time, except the extent of the damage, is now even more devastating

Looks like, I will be picking up the pieces, for some time

All those towers, that nearly took a lifetime to build, I have to rebuild

If this continues, I won't be having, any more time to mend anything at all

There is no one else, who I could turn to, everyone else

Is calling, on the channel over the radio, but we all at battle

We try, to just keep on moving, but what else can we do

But I will be, reaching out to you, the brightest cloud up above the clouds of ash

Reaching out to you, nothing good can come from, fighting battles alone

Surely, it is a lesson, that we all let slip away

Fighting on my own, is the same, as accepting the exact same defeat

As the last time, except the extent of the damage, is now even more devastating

I will be reaching out, shout out your name, this time you'll be my shield

My plane, as you take up arms, head straight into battle

Charge straight in, for me as you place your helmet, of valor onto my head

Tired and alone, I couldn't ever win alone, yet you've set out

To win, this time for me, I'm nothing without you.
